Apartment handover checklist

When checking the points to take over the apartment, the following steps must be followed, please:

 

1) Handing over all keys to the apartment, including the cellar and mailbox, garage remote (if included in the apartment), and chips for entry into the building – all in the number specified in the handover protocol from the day of signing the sublease agreement

2) General cleaning

  1. Cleaning all windows, wiping frames, shutters, and checking curtains
  2. Clearing and wiping all closed cupboards and shelves
  3. Cleaning floors and carpets (if included in the apartment)
  4. Cleaning the shower and bathtub, including cleaning the drains
  5. Polishing shower curtain hooks
  6. Polishing mirrors in the apartment
  7. Cleaning kitchen appliances inside and out (with recommended cleaning agents) – cleaning oven, hob, extractor hood, dishwasher (including filters and drainage), washing machine (including filters), dryer (including filters), microwave and fridge
  8. Washing the kitchen sink and equipment (if included in the apartment). Cleaning the sofa or upholstered dining chairs
  9. Clearing waste
  10. Cleaning the toilet
  11. Cleaning interior doors, including tightening any loose handles and hinges
  12. Removing any mold in the apartment

3) Painting the apartment

  1. Ensuring clean walls without spots and holes from pictures, shelves, curtains, etc.
  2. Painting all walls to their original state as per the condition at the time of the apartment's handover (usually white)

4) Functionality of equipment

  1. Checking the functionality of appliances
  2. Checking the closing of cupboards and drawers
  3. Providing manuals for individual appliances, if available at the time of apartment handover
  4. Checking the functionality of lights and switches in the apartment
  5. Checking the functionality of fans/air conditioning in the apartment
Information about the final bill at the end of your tenancy

 

  • The billing is processed according to the actual consumption and costs of the subtenant
  • If the apartment is not cleaned and redecorated in accordance with the sublease agreement, cleaning, redecorating and minor damage repairs must be arranged by our company, this process can substantially extend the process of recovering the principal and processing the bill
  • Billing cannot be processed without documentation from the HOA, utility bills and invoices from tradesmen
  • Once all the documents have been supplied, we will finalise the bill without undue delay
  • If the billing results in an overpayment, we wait until the landlord sends the overpayment to our account, then it is sent to the tenant
  • If the bill results in an underpayment, it must be paid into our account as soon as possible

 

Information on handling insurance claims
  • In the event of damage that can be dealt with through your liability insurance, please contact the assistance service of the relevant insurance company directly without having to contact us and deal with us for repair

If you have a registered permanent residence in the property you are leaving, you must de-register your permanent residence.

If you have an internet connection at your sublet address please ensure that you opt out.
